Uveitis
Uveitis occurs when any part of the uveal tract becomes inflamed. The uvea consists of the iris, ciliary body, and the choroid. Uveitis may be categorized into two different types: anterior uveitis and posterior uveitis. Anterior uveitis contains any inflammation involving the front of the eye. Posterior uveitis includes inflammation beginning behind the iris to the back the eye. Symptoms include: pain, photophobia, decrease in vision, floaters, and redness of the eye.
